Wallbridge Mining Promotes Richard Murphy to Vice President Corporate Development; Retains CHF as Investor Relations Counsel

Toronto, Ontario - September 16, 2004 - Wallbridge Mining Company Limited (TSX: WM) today announced the promotion of Richard Murphy to Vice President of Corporate Development. The Company has also appointed Cavalcanti Hume Funfer Inc. (CHF) of Toronto and Calgary as the Company's Investor Relations counsel.

Richard Murphy is a practicing professional geoscientist with over ten years mineral exploration experience in Ontario, northern Manitoba and in the Canadian Arctic. He completed a B.Sc. in geology from the University of Western Ontario and an Honors diploma in geology from Laurentian University. Richard began his career with Wallbridge in 1996 immediately following the Company's incorporation and has worked closely with the founders to build the Company. He plays a key role in exploration project generation, operation, investor relations and new business development.
