Wallbridge Builds Team to Advance Broken Hammer Discovery

Toronto, Ontario - April 5, 2005 - Wallbridge Mining Company Limited (TSX: WM) today announced the appointment of Fred Baker, P. Eng., MBA as Manager of Mining and Environment. Initially, Fred will be responsible for directing metallurgical testwork, and permitting of advanced exploration projects, including bulk sampling of Wallbridge's Broken Hammer Zone discovery. Fred will also assume responsibility for the evaluation of advanced exploration and mining projects assessed by the Company.

Fred joins Wallbridge with 18 years of experience in the consulting engineering and mine services industry, where he managed a contracting company specializing in operation, maintenance and surveillance at closed minesites and a wide range of projects in the areas of environmental permitting, tailings planning, closure planning and feasibility studies. Earlier in his career, Fred worked for a number of mining companies in first and second line underground supervision.

Fred brings to Wallbridge an attractive blend of experience in business, operations and project management, and the environmental aspects of feasibility studies and permitting relating to opening and operating mines.

"We are very pleased to have been able to attract a person of Fred's calibre and experience to join our team, particularly in today's competitive labour market, said Risto Laamanen, Chairman and CEO of Wallbridge. I think it speaks highly of both the quality of our projects and the rest of our team. Fred brings with him the skills and experience we need not only to advance our Broken Hammer Zone discovery, but also to evaluate other advanced exploration and mining projects."
