Wallbridge Mining Announces the Unexpected Passing of its Chairman, Risto Laamanen
Toronto, Ontario - July 8, 2009 - Wallbridge Mining Company Limited (TSX: WM, FWB: WC7) is sad to announce the unexpected passing of its Chairman and CEO, Risto Laamanen. Risto was one of the founders of Wallbridge Mining in 1996, as well as President of Laamanen Construction Limited and the Chief Executive Officer of Rail-Veyor Technologies Inc.
Risto was a true leader in the Sudbury community. He was active as the Chair of Science North and a former Chair of the Cambrian Foundation and a past Board Member of Cambrian College and Laurentian University.
We at Wallbridge are shocked and greatly saddened by Risto's unexpected and untimely passing. He was dedicated to the success of Wallbridge and a true industry leader in innovation in the mining industry. We will miss him greatly as a friend and colleague. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family at this difficult time.
