Social ResponsibilityAboriginal Community Relationships
Wallbridge is committed to working with local Aboriginal communities and through its engagement process, strives to ensure all rights are respected.
We engage openly and frequently with the Wahnapitae, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nations as well as the Metis Nation of Ontario. Our goal is to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships.
To facilitate engagement, we provide monthly updates of our exploration activities to the communities and are open to meet on any issue at short notice.
When possible, we engage local aboriginal service providers for mineral exploration and associated services.
Wallbridge has a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wahnapitae First Nation and the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. A draft agreement is pending with Sagamok Anishnawbek and the Metis Nation of Ontario.
Wallbridge puts considerable effort into keeping abreast of current issues and often attends the Canadian Aboriginal Mining Association (CAMA) conference. In addition, we are members in the Ontario Prospectors Association (OPA) and contribute to the Ontario Minister's Mining Act Advisory Committee (MMAAC).
